On to the next one...

The lyrics

I got a million ways to get it
Choose one

Hey, bring it back
Now double your money and make a stack

I’m on to the next one
On to the next one
Hold up, freeze

Somebody bring me back some money please,

Hov on that new shit n-ggas like how come
N-ggas want my old sh-t, buy my old album
N-ggas stuck on stupid,
I gotta keep it moving
N-ggas make the same sh-t,
me I make the blueprint
Came in Range, hopped out the Lexus
every year since I’ve been on that next sh-t
traded in the gold for the platinum rolex’s
Now a n-gga wrist match the status of my records

Used to rock a throwback, ballin on the corner
Now I rock a teller suit looking like a owner
No I'm not a Jonas brother, I’m a grown up
No I’m not a virgin, I use my cajhonas

I move forward, the only direction
cant be scared to fail,
Search of perfection
Gotta keep it fresh even when we sexing
but don’t be mad at him when he’s on to the next one

Freeze
[Chorus]

F-ck a throwback jersey cos we on to the next one,
and f-ck that autotune cos we oohhhhn,
and n-ggas
don’t be mad cos it’s all about progressionloiterers should be arrested, I used to drink Kristal,
muthaf-ckers racist, so I switched Gold Bottles on to that spade sh-t,
you gonna have another drink or
you just gonna babysit,
on to the next one, somebody call the waitress,
Baby I’m a boss, I dunno what they do,
I don’t get dropped, I dropped the label,
World can’t hold me,
too much ambitionalways knew it’d be like this when I was in the kitchen,
n-ggas in the same spots, me
I’m dodging rain drops,
meaning i’m on vacay, chillin on a big yacht,
yeah i go ton flip flops, white louie boat shoes,
you should grow the f-ck up,
come here let me coach you
,
Hold up,

[Chorus]

Uh, Big pimpin in the house now,
bought the land, tore the muthaf-cking house down,
bought the car, tore the muthaf-cking roof off,
ride clean, I don’t ever take the shoes off,
bought the jeep, tore the muthaf-cking doors off,
foot out dat b-tch about to sh-t like a skateboard,
navigation on
tryin to find my next thrill,
feelin myself I don’t even need an x pill,
can’t chill but my neck will,
haters really gonna be mad off my next deal,
uh, I dont know why they really worry about my pockets,
meanwhile I had Oprah chillin in the projects,
had her out in Bed Stuy chillin on the steps,
drinking quarter waters
gotta be the best,
MJ at summerjam, Obama on the text

y’all should be afraid of what I’m gonna do next.
Hold up,

[Chorus]

A drop of vanilla in water...

I've been on an odyssey of epic proportions which only another woman could understand...trying to find a new fragrance...something that defines me...and after much searching, I found it.

Not only does it smell incredible...light, subtle and clean...it's production process is low impact and actually contributes to a society. The vanilla is harvested by mainly female workers in Uganda and the packaging is  manufactured by renewable energy with a Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification.

The website is incredibly interactive and shows a host of other contributions which can be made.  Learn more here.

The notes include...vanilla, dew-drop petal accord, lotus, rose, transparent jasmine, freesia, orchid, white amber and sandalwood.

Behind the scenes....Mr Bob movie...

I was called up to Richards Bay this week to start work on Mr Bob which is a french war story. It was a great set and crew and I learnt a lot about prostethics, dirt and blood makeup!

Megan hiding out in the back of a jeep!

Ms Drury trying to hide from the cameras and the rain!

Art department setting up the next shot...Incredible scene!

This is basically where we spent the whole of day one. Very glamorous!

I wish I had taken some shots of the makeup truck...it was insanely organised which makes an OCD girl like me very chuffed. I'm only on set for dailies, so if I get called back, I'll make sure to get some fresh images...makeup truck....crew....etc

Just another mountain to climb...

Woolies is running a competition, here are the deets:

"We’re planning an expedition to climb Africa’s highest peak (and make some coffee with water from Kili’s ice) to raise awareness of climate change – and we’re looking for one Woolies customer to join us." Get all the info on their website here.

So, if you know my brother which you all should because he is AWESOME...you'll know he is the PERFECT person for this! So I entered him...My original draft was more than DOUBLE the allowed word count, but after some careful editing, here's what I submitted on his behalf...

"My brother’s the most compassionate and positive person I know. Warrick’s the type of guy everyone genuinely cares for because he exudes love. However, he’s also a boundary-pushing, adrenalin junky who does it all while grinning like a deranged teenager.
He’s excelled in many sports: Paddling, surf ski, mountain biking, running and swimming.
The last couple years have been rough for him as due to injuries, his multisport career was put on hold. So he traveled to the UK to work in the Lake Districts where his favourite thing to do was hike up a nearby mountain and camp out by himself in a cave called Priests’ Hole in the middle of winter. He returned home and vowed to work harder (now in uShaka Marine World cleaning the tanks as a diver) so that he could pay the last deposit for the race to the South Pole.
Others missions include the race across the Sahara, PE to East London surf ski, cycling Mozambique to Cape Town and climbing Kilimanjaro (I put my foot down at the Everest idea!). He plans to use these races as an opportunity to raise funds for child and environmental charities using his “One step at time” concept.
We planned to climb Kili but I couldn’t image a better collaboration for him than doing it with Woolworths for a global cause.
With regards to the coffee aspect, Warrick loves coffee but I would recommend limiting his intake (especially with sugar), unless you don’t mind him racing you to the top!"

Name: Warrick Brian Angus Mac Nicol
Age: 22 years

I hope hope hope he gets to go....he is my daily inspiration.

What do you contribute to a collaboration?

I haven't written much recently...I've been regurgitating images and behind the scenes things because I haven't found much to inspire me. I suppose I've let the industry bring me down, which isn't tough...I'm a sensitive person and this industry is gnarly. But here's what I've realised...

I need to find the inspiration within me. No one is going to hold my hand and guide me...unfortunately there are too many people who don't share or play nice and I'm just going to have to brush that off and keep moving.  People will either like you, or not. So what? You've got to be strong to make it and yet people are threatened by strength...especially in small communities...

I've become supremely frustrated with a certain type of individual in this industry (I'm sure I'll come up with a name for them soon)...they are the older generation, who have "made it" and reached the pinnacle of their career...they like to throw out a lot of opinion and never seem to back it up. They love talking about ideas and planning collaborations and then you never hear from them again...and yet somehow, they've taken ownership of your idea and you feel bound to them.  They are the type of "artist" who literally turn their back so you can't see what they're doing...honey please, I'm not going to steal your client...wanna know why? First, it's not in my character and second, I plan to reach a little higher.  These people have lost all their creative impulses and they are now just relying on a "skill" they've developed to keep paying for the lifestyle they pretend to live. They are not the industry, they are the bain of it.

But I'm not going to be like them. I'm going to fight...I'm going to share...I'm going to learn and teach and be free with the knowledge I have. I have a million ideas and I want to see them all become real...if you'd like to be a part of that...fantastic! If not, don't be bummed when I move it along.

I've also had the supreme pleasure of working with amazing people who just ooze creativity. They understand that you are only as good as everyone around you and that bettering the industry is more important than one persons' success. It's about being humble and realising that there will always be someone better and someone worse than you...so how can you contribute? Treat people the way you want to be treated...understand that it's not rocket science, it's the fashion industry...share your knowledge and be a positive part of any collaboration.

It shouldn't be about who's better. It shouldn't be about stealing clients. It shouldn't be about gossip and manipulation.

It should be about that moment on a shoot, when everyone looks at the image and sighs...We got it!
