MY WORK ~ CREATE HOPE

Beauty with a cause, CreateHope is the brainchild of Jayde Weare...mother, designer and all-round kind and gentle soul.

"CreateHope is more than just beautiful jewellery, it is an opportunity for a better life. The CreateHope concept is a jewellery line with a purpose. It employs women who are unable to find jobs due to AIDS, Cancer or other hardships in their lives.

The intention is not to be a charity, but rather to empower women, by teaching them the skills to make the jewellery. By uplifting these women, CreateHope aims to end the cycle of poverty, and give these women and their children, the hope of a better future."

You can see the behind the scenes of the shoot here, but in the meantime here are some of the final images from the shoot.

MY WORK ~ SNEAK PEEK SARAH BEAUTY

We've been having a blast in Cape Town. Lots of lovely things to show you :)

Here's a little something we shot with Sarah from Outlaws Models (who are AMAZING by the way). I need some natural, no-makeup make up in my book, so I've been on the look out for some lovely ladies with unique beauty.

[editor's note: I apologise for the annoying watermarks on the images but unfortunately I have had issues in the past with people using my images or claiming them as their own. Although it's not fool-proof, it is a deterrent. I will not watermark my advertising or commercial work, only my personal shoots/tests. Thanks for understanding.]

BEHIND THE SCENES ~ WHITE QUEEN

MY WORK ~ WHITE QUEEN BRIDAL SHOOT

I stalk...er, follow Jacki Bruniquel on twitter and I've always loved her work. I was pleasantly surprised when she asked to meet and plan a shoot with me. We seemed to connect right away and it was awesome speaking to someone who has as much passion and drive for their work as I do.

Jacki is wonderful. Kind and soft spoken, she makes everyone on shoot feel comfortable and important.

We planned a White Queen inspire bridal shoot [a different take to the usual Trash the Dress shoot] for one of her recent brides, Krystle, who is a rockstar. She was totally on board with the creative direction and was keen for anything!

Drew Christie from Evolve Salon did the hair and this was my first time working with him. He has an amazing energy and a great passion for hair.

You can read the full write up on Jacki's blog, but in the meantime, here are a couple of the pics.

BEHIND THE SCENES ~ DOUBLE FEATURE [NSFW]

Here's a little behind the scenes on two recent shoots ~

Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered.

Photographer: Vaughan Treyvellan
Make up & hair: Candice Mac Nicol
Styling: Candice Drury
Models: Ruan from Ice Models and Lauren from Boss Models

In the Blue of Everything

You can see both shoots online on my website.  [FYI, this is NSFW.]

I won't be featuring the shoots on my blog due to the NSFW aspect, however I must say that it was incredible working with such professional and awesome models.  Nude photography can be elegant and beautiful, no sleaze is needed.

Our models are "seasoned veterans" although both still young and it was a breeze working with them. Professional and experienced models really do make all the difference.

RAE MORRIS' BRUSHES

If you don't know who Rae Morris is, you're on the wrong website.

Here's a video of how her brushes are made....I've heard good things about this collection and I hope to be able to test them out eventually. The price is a little steep for me so I'll wait until they are sold individually.
