Last week I worked on a shoot with Jono Nienaber from Pure Studios and we chatted about doing another shoot together purely for our portfolios...you know, one of those creative shoots that save you from the brown-smokey eye of day-to-day work. ;)
Anyway, what I really love about the team we put together is that, one week later, there we were in studio, shooting the story! Proactive to the max!
Adele Schmitz is a brilliant stylist who works incredibly hard and has a great sense of trends and style. Sam Laskey honoured us by taking time out of her short Durban holiday to shoot this story with us....have a look at her book, you'll see why...she's a lovely person and I truly consider her a friend. Although this was only our second shoot together, I really feel like we've worked together numerous times!
The idea was to shoot a swimwear / beauty story in water but with a difference. Sam was a trooper lying in the half-inflated pool all day and getting drenched with bucket after bucket of water!
We did about 5 different shots with 2 makeup looks but unfortunately my camera battery died halfway through so you'll only see the one makeup look for now. As soon as I get the images from Jono, I'll do a post on how to recreate the looks and all the products I used.
Just so you know, I am beyond thrilled with how the pics turned out and I can't wait to share them!!
