The makeup for the Home Alone shoot with Ansellia from Outlaws, was very understated and I wanted to emphasize Annie's incredible skin and beautiful green eyes.
After cleansing and moisturizing her skin, I used Laura Geller Spackle primer on Ansellia's skin. She truly has the most flawless skin I have ever worked on, so the primer was more for shine than to fix any imperfections.
I then used Mehron Celebre` Pro HD foundation (my absolute favourite!) which sits beautifully on the skin, with a velvet near-matte finish. Perfect for humid environments and for people who prefer to use less powder.
Ansellia didn't require any concealer but I did use a little YSL Touche Eclat under her eyes, in the inner corner to lift any "hollow" areas. I also used this as a highlighter on the top of her cheeks and under the arch of her brows.
I used MAC Pro Sculpt cream in Coffe Walnut to accentuate her bone structure and emphasize her cheeks and jaw-line. This is a great colour for fair-medium skinned ladies as it as a cool undertone like natural shadows and not a ruddy (muddy red) undertone like other contours.
On Ansellia's eyes, I started with MAC Groundwork as a primer and then worked from the outside in, using MAC Saddle and MAC Brown Down. These colours have a red undertone which enhance green eyes but still give a natural finish. Using Groundwork as a primer helps keep the eyeshadows from creasing and it also enhances the colour of the shadows.
I did not line her eyes but using my fave brush, Chanel contour shadow brush #14, and MAC Brown Down, I smudged the colour along her lower lashline and in the outer top corner of her eyes.
I also used a mixture of MAC Era and MAC Goldmine on the inner corner of her eyes, to make them look brighter and fresher.
I didn't want the eye to be too smokey so I kept the colours close to the eye. I completed the look with 2 coats of black mascara and filled her eyebrows for a strong finish.
Hope you love!
